Windows Password Recovery Tool Standard is intended for recovery of user or administrator passwords on local Windows accounts. The program is very easy to use thanks to its wizard-like user interface. In this regard, the tool creates a boot disk that starts the system and provides access to local accounts.
The product is available in several licenses: Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. In this respect, the features differ widely according to the license you purchase. In the specific case of the standard version, which is being reviewed here, it only allows basic operations. These include resetting the password of one or two PCs and removing the standard user or administrator password on local accounts. You can also create rescue discs as ISO image files or burn them directly to CD and DVD discs.
The list of features available for other versions of the product is definitely much longer. Thus, depending on the purchased license, you can reset passwords for Microsoft accounts, delete or create a local administrator account, reset or delete accounts in a domain, as well as change a domain administrator or user password. It also allows you to delete or create a domain administrator account. Finally, holding one of these licenses allows you to create a rescue disk based on a USB flash drive.
All and all, Windows Password Recovery Tool Standard allows you to regain access to your personal computer by changing your password in case you have lost or forgotten it. The product can be downloaded from the developer's site. In this sense, trial versions are available for each of the licenses. Unfortunately, trials show local accounts but do not allow any modifications to them.
